1st Central appoints new CEO as founder Acott takes on chairman role

1st Central Insurance has promoted Andy James to the role of CEO of the UK business.

He takes up the role with immediate effect, alongside his current position of group marketing director.

Mr James, who joined the company from Allianz in August 2012, replaces 1st Central founder Ken Acott, who will move up to the position of chairman.

Mr James commented: “Insurance is all about selling and delivering on a promise and it is great to be given the opportunity to ensure we can become a more marketing led organisation.
