The broker space has talked about a ‘hollowing out of the middle’ for years now. The 2021 figures illustrate this in the starkest possible terms.
As you will see, we have £750m plus GWP brokers – and a smattering of £1bn plus within that – but the bandings listing highlights a huge gap. There are no brokers with GWP of between £350m and £750m. Isn’t that something?
