In the run-up to the British Insurance Brokers' Association conference in Glasgow, Insurance Age conducted its annual broker survey on a number of current topics in the insurance industry. Michelle Worvell presents the results

This year's annual survey once again canvassed the opinions of hundreds of UK regional brokers throughout the country. While some of the findings will come as no surprise, such as the fact that 73% of respondents did not agree with mandatory commission disclosure, other results were less predictable. For example, a large number of brokers said merger and acquisition activity among software providers was having a positive effect on their business.
