AIRMIC appoint new chief executive

John Hurrell, currently head of Marsh Risk Consulting (Europe, Middle East and Africa), has been appointed AIRMIC’s new chief executive. He will start his new position on January 7, 2008 and succeeds Alan Fleming, who has been fulfilling the role on an interim basis since June.

Mr Hurrell’s appointment will bring to an end a rigorous search to find a successor to David Gamble, who stepped down during the summer after nearly ten years in the role, in order to lead PRORIM, AIRMIC’s e-learning course.
