Because of a tougher police attitude to false alarm call-outs and employer concern for staff key holders' safety, the use of commercial key holding and response services has recently become more common.
While guidance from The Risc Authority Security Group, (formerly IPCRes) suggests that use of response services is acceptable to most insurers; businesses using them should select providers with approval from the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) or Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board
