RSA UK and Western Europe COR worsens to 106.6%
Insurer's UK COR also deteriorated to 99.2%.
RSA saw its UK & Western Europe combined operating ratio (COR) weaken to 106.6% for 2013, compared to 100% recorded the previous year.
Specifically, the insurer's UK COR came in at 99.2% [2012: 98.8%], with a personal lines COR of 97.4% [2012: 96.3%] and a commercial COR which slightly improved to 100.6% [2012: 100.9%].
Meanwhile, RSA’s UK & Western Europe arm reported an underwriting loss of £226m for 2013. The same part of the business posted a loss of £8m in 2012.
