Trade body states it will work with Law Commission following Business Insurance Contract Law joint consultation.
The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has stated it will work with the Law Commission to reduce "any potential negative impact" on brokers following its joint consultation on Business Insurance Contract Law.
The trade body welcomed the latest report and confirmed it is now seeking clarification around brokers' role in the duty of fair presentation of risk.
Biba asserted that it will look to ensure no "additional responsibilities" will fall on brokers in regard to commercial customers
