London-based brokers' earnings to rise in 2015, survey says

Increases in demand and ongoing regulatory developments driving pay rises, according to a survey.

Brokers with three to eight years experience who work in London earned between £35,000 and £65,000 in 2014 according to recruitment consultancy Robert Walters.

The firm, which does most of its hiring in the capital, predicts that this group will see their yearly salary rise marginally to between £40,000 and £70,000 this year.

The figures are aggregate numbers for brokers and underwriters working in the Lloyd's, general and life insurance markets.
