Simply Business pre-tax profit rises 8% to £2.89m

Turnover also rises by 16% to £29.1m for the year to the end of December 2014.

Xbridge, the online insurance broker for small businesses operating under the name of Simply Business, made a pre-tax profit of £2.89m for the year to the end of December 2014.

Accounts filed at Companies House show that represented an 8% increase from the £2.67m it posted for the previous 12-month period.

However the business's post-tax profit showed a 22% fall to £2.17m for its last financial year compared to the £2.78m it recorded in 2013.

Turnover rose by 16% in 2014 to £29.1m (2013: £25m)
