Millions of customers are not being catered for by direct writers, putt-ing brokers in a strong position to tap into the direct market, according to Kwik Fit Financial Services.

According to the broker, intermediaries operate a better business model and can offer a better choice of insurers, unlike the direct writers, which tend to concentrate on the lower end of the market.
