Sedgwick is planning to relaunch its commercial lines middle market
operation, Aldgate, under a new name. The broker will also begin piloting
a version of the facility in the US from next month.

Project Aldgate is the name Sedgwick coined for the panel of six
underwriters, based in Manchester, through which the broker channels all
of its commercial risks with turnovers in excess of £5m. Since the
facility was set up at the end of 1996, Sedgwick has increased its market
share in this sector by 1.5%
