Swiss Re Life & Health's research on long-term care has found thatthree-quarters of respondents would be willing to pay care costs through
higher taxes. Two-fifths believed that the State should cover all costs.
Compulsory insurance was also favoured by two-fifths of respondents, with
two-thirds believing that private insurance is the solution. Disturbingly,
a quarter believe that planning for old age is not important. Swiss Re is
to repeat the survey every three months.
