The high-street branches of intermediary chain Arnott Century are
likely to be rebranded to Budget, following its merger with the
Peterborough-based telebroker.


The merger was completed on 10 November and the operation is now the
second largest independently-owned personal lines intermediary after AA
Insurance Services.


The merged company is headed by Budget chief executive Peter Winslow, who
assumes the position of group chief executive. He is joined on the board
by Ian Leech, group finance
