A Chartered title for insurance brokers moves one step closer, with
the Chartered Institute of Insurers holding a special general meeting on
28 March. The Institute is inviting members to pass resolutions which
would enable it to formally apply to the Privy Council for the title. The
CII anticipates a quick decision from Privy Council, possibly by April.
CII director general Sandy Scott said: "There is a great groundswell in
favour of a publicly recognised qualification for brokers."
