Over 70% of commercial lines brokers and intermediaries believe that
the problem of insurers taking too long to process and mail policy
documentation has worsened over the past 12 months.


A survey of over 40 regional brokers and intermediaries, conducted by
Professional Broking and Post Magazine last month, found that 78% of
respondents were not happy with the speed at which they received policy
documentation and 71% said they were not happy with the level of accuracy
in the documentation.

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
