High net worth policies are not just the preserve of the aristocracy. Shona Cronin says there are rich pickings out there for wise brokers.

When envisaging a high net worth individual, it is often the cliched
picture of an aristocratic land-owner that springs to mind. These days,
however, alongside inherited wealth, a high net worth business portfolio
is likely to include a lawyer, an accountant or perhaps a stockbroker.


In fact, the number of people who fall into this category is now far more
varied. The high net worth market is valued at an estimated £800m, which
is likely to increase substantially over the next five years
