Claims arising from asbestos-related diseases have dogged theinsurance industry for many years and show no signs of abating. The latest
case hit the headlines in mid-December 2001 when the Court of Appeal
handed down a landmark ruling affecting claimants suffering from
asbestos-induced mesothelioma, caused from exposure to asbestos dust while
working for several employers - Fairchild v Waddington & Leeds City
