Strong profits, steady management and a buyer eager to invest are characteristics of Worcester-based Open GI but not former owner software house Misys.
Misys has gone into a period of turmoil since selling its insurance arm to private equity house Montagu. Misys, which decided to concentrate on its banking and healthcare arms, has seen a failed buyout attempt, several potential bidders walking away, a new chief executive, a profit warning and a volatile share price.
