There's panic in the provinces as brokers and intermediaries worry about what the advent of GISC regulations will mean for them. Are we just giving in to the accountants?
Enough has been said and written about GISC for us all to concedethat membership is not an option. You either join, take up golf

While everyone accepts that self-regulation is preferable, am I the only
one to gain the impression that the prospect is still creating a great
deal of uncertainty among the smaller practitioners? If I had a pound for
every time I was asked for my opinion I could retire, but the most
worrying aspect is that some are considering "getting out
