Overheard predicts a good year for Christmas presents in Edenbridge -wherein lies the former headquarters of Independent Insurance. Apparently,
provisional liquidator PricewaterhouseCoopers auctioned off much of
Independent's office equipment at the end of November. Ex-employee
Alasdair Stewart, who still works from the Edenbridge offices, commented:
"An old couple is walking away with some state-of-the-art equipment as I
speak. Even the thugs in Edenbridge have got top-notch IT equipment
now."
