Biba describes IPT meeting as "constructive"
British Insurance Brokers' Association and the Institute of Insurance Brokers arrange another meeting with HM Revenue and Customs
The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) and the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) have arranged to meet HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) again following today's meeting about the changes to Insurance Premium Tax (IPT).
As reported, the Chancellor announced in his 2009 pre-budget report, that, with effect from 9 December, 2009, IPT has to be applied to fees charged under a separate contract in connection with personal lines insurance.
