Last month saw several firsts in the insurance market. RK Harrison claimed it was the first to launch a professional indemnity (PI) product designed specifically for art professionals, and Aviva added its first motor policy to Fast Trade, the provider’s online trading platform.

The insurer also added a PI policy to the platform, bringing the total number of policies available through that channel to 13.

SME was another popular area of the market, with both Lorega and Axa launching two SME-specific products apiece.

Commercial Express and Home & Legacy similarly released new products for the same general market, this time construction, with the former providing for the contractors, and the latter serving the homeowners.
