Liberty announces restructure
Liberty Mutual Insurance Group has merged its Lloyd’s Syndicate with Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe and US-based Liberty Mutual Reinsurance operations to create Liberty Specialty Market.
Nick Metcalf has been named president and group managing director of the new operation which boasts nearly $3.5bn [£2.18bn] of gross written premium.
The firm confirmed that the new grouping will have three units for retail, wholesale and reinsurance business.
Sean Rocks will lead the retail section as chief underwriting officer while Matthew Moore will take charge of both wholesale and reinsurance.
Liberty stressed that the new operation will retain all existing regulated insurance entities and
