JM Glendinning acquires 70% of shares in AS Green & Co

Tony Green, founder and managing director of AS Green, will stay with firm for at least three years following acquisition.

JM Glendinning Group has acquired 70% of the shares in AS Green & Co Insurance Brokers, Insurance Age can reveal.

AS Green, which was established in 1978, employs 13 people in its Scarborough office and writes £2.2m in gross written premium annually, according to JM Glendinning.

It added the business's founder and managing director, Tony Green, will stay with the firm for a minimum of 3 years to help it grow.
