Abbey Insurance Brokers posts loss after restructuring costs

Company reports rise in turnover and Ebitda.

Abbey Insurance Brokers has reported a loss after tax of £15,000 for the year ended 31 March 2016.

The figure, in a document filed at Companies House, reverses a profit of £242,000 for the previous 12 months.

However, the Carrickfergus-headquartered broker revealed that both turnover and Ebitda before exceptional items grew during the period.

Turnover rose by 19.5% to £12.07m (2015: £10.1m) with Ebitda up 27.6% to £2.28m (2015: £1.79m).
