FCA boss Andrew Bailey gets £449,000 pay package

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) paid chief executive Andrew Bailey for his work for the year ending 31 March 2017.

The FCA’s Annual Report and Account 2016/17 detailed that Bailey had a £330,000 basic salary for his work.

Given he only joined the FCA on 1 July his basic salary for a full year would in fact have been £440,000.

However, he did receive a £65,000 performance related pay bonus.

The regulator also paid him £30,000 in cash as a non-pensionable supplement in lieu of pension
