Manchester-based personal lines broker Swinton has landed a £70m funding package with Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets to provide its operational banking facilities. The three-year deal replaces facilities with HSBC. Anthony Clare, finance director at Swinton, told Professional Broking: "These are significant funds and support us in our aspirations. We have no specific plans for acquisitions at the moment but this will enable us to buy a broker very quickly at the right price." Read an interview
