The Financial Services Authority's new high street firms divisionwill be headed by Sarah Wilson, current head of mortgages and financial
promotion in the FSA's conduct of business standards division.
She will take responsibility for mortgage and general insurance regulation
and report directly to FSA managing director John Tiner.
He said: "The introduction of mortgage and general insurance regulation
involves the creation of two new regulatory regimes and the new division
will have a pivotal role
