The Environment Agency has embarked on a £2m, three-year awareness campaign to highlight the danger caused by flooding to both homes and businesses.The initiative follows the severe flooding in the UK last year, which left 21 people dead and caused more than £400m of damage, much of which was uninsured.
The campaign begins with Flood Awareness Week which was launched today by Elliot Morley, the Minister for Flood and Coastal Defence, Ed Gallagher, chief executive of the Environment Agency
