Former president of the Irish Brokers' Association, financialconsultant Tony Taylor, has been jailed for five years after pleading
guilty to fraud charges at Dublin's Circuit Criminal Court. Mr Taylor
defrauded four clients out of a total of IR£382,000, according to the
country's largest fraud investigation, but the court said victims were
unlikely to be reimbursed for their losses. Mr Taylor had been remanded in
custody since his extradition from England in January.
