Brokers who delay in joining the General Insurance Standards Council could fail within four years, according to insurance law specialists Davies Arnold Cooper.
David McIntosh, senior partner at Davies Arnold Cooper, said: "Past experience tells an insurance lawyer like me that if great care is not taken some of tomorrow's 'Johnny come-latelys' will become the industry's financial failures in three or four years time."
