Retailers returning to their core business, only five major insurers and another mis-selling scandal are all on the cards for the insurance industry, predicts Andy Homer.
Five years may not seem long, but when insurance professionals sit attheir desks in 2006 they will see a radically different business.
Names we regard as synonymous with insurance will have closed their doors
altogether, some of the retailers that the intermediary views as major
competition today will have returned to their core business and new
threats from some unlikely places will have emerged.
