Training should be an ongoing process in the industry and the significance of any qualifications that are achieved should not be underestimated.

I recently received a letter from the Institute of Insurance Brokers
inviting me to apply to become an Institute Registered Insurance
Broker.


The letter also informed me of the institute's diploma.


I do not wish to comment on the value or otherwise of becoming an IRIB or
on the diploma examinations - brokers will have to decide this for
themselves. It is worth pointing out to brokers, however, the status of
the Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications, which are appreciated
and recognised across
