Lancaster-based intermediary Roland Gaskell has started an
unconventional protest against large retailers that have moved into the
general insurance market.


Mr Gaskell, managing director of Adam & Gaskell, is selling tyres, plants,
garden furniture, free-range eggs, lingerie and Zimmer frames at reduced
rates from his high-street brokerage to compete with chains such as Kwik
Fit, B&Q, Tesco and Marks & Spencer.
