Following several high-profile art thefts, such as Titian's Rest on
The Flight to Egypt (above) stolen from the Marquess of Bath in 1994, more
high net worth individuals than ever before are considering professional
advice to protect their collections. A survey of art owners by Axa
Nordstern found 87% would consider seeking guidance. Many currently choose
their insurer without any expert advice. Asked about their insurance
wish-list, 74% put speedy and efficient claims handling at the top.
