In the construction industry, even a limited application of risk
management can go a long way. Two major areas of losses bring both high
and low severity claims: for property, the problem is theft, with
pilfering from site huts creating substantial attritional losses, and the
occasional professional job adding a catastrophic side to the equation
when items such as front-end loaders and cranes are lost. On the liability
