Cox Insurance Retail Division has strengthened its influence in theintermediary market with the acquisition of the West Midlands-based Argent
Branch network and wholesale broker Brokersure.
The Argent acquisition will provide Cox with a high-street presence and a
range of locations into which it can channel future acquisitions. The
insurer has no plans to establish any new branches.
The takeover follows Cox's purchase of the guaranteeing broker and
marketing group Holman Marketing last year
