I write in response to the article (PB, December 1999, p27) by SteveBanner "Who will pick up the bill?"
As managing director of a credit hire provider and a committee member of
BAFACH, there are several points I would like to raise.
The costs that reputable providers endeavour to recover from insurers are
certainly not "exorbitant".
Even if the ABI initiative on car hire reduces insurer's outgoings, the
question remains who is looking out for the interests of the non-fault
accident victim?
