The Association of British Insurers has urged the Government to take
action on the increasing flood risk facing many homes and businesses.

Speaking at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Jane Milne,
property and household manager at the ABI, said: "There is only so much
individuals can do - key decisions on flood defences and flood management
rest with the Government. Speedy decisions and action to improve flood
defences are urgently required."
