Motor insurers Folgate, Ansvar and Trafalgar have hit back at theratings assigned to them by Standard & Poor's, which put them in a similar
league as Drake. Darryl Clark, deputy managing director of Folgate, which
was assigned a BB rating by S&P, said: "Folgate's solvency ratio remains
one of the highest in the industry and it is absurd to draw parallels with
Drake Insurance."
