The Institute of Insurance Brokers has been advised to appeal against the Office of Fair Trading's ruling on the General Insurance Standards Council rulebook, by Mr Nicholas Green QC.
Mr Green says an appeal can be made on the grounds that the OFT did not properly consider the case and in particular the effect rule 42 would have on competition. Mr Green considered the OFT's decision to be "extremely flimsy" and that it "failed in a number of material respects to properly address or qualify
