The deal between PricewaterhouseCoopers and ex-Independent Insurance
brokers looks set to go ahead.


Votes were still being counted at the time of going to press but a PwC
insider said the liquidator was "very pleased" with the response and that
it would be "extremely surprising" were the deal to fail.


Brokers have agreed to repay the commissions earned on returned
Independent premiums within 14 days of an 'effective date'. This date has
yet to be announced but is expected to be within approximately
