The Folgate Partnership claims to have a new model for the insurance industry and if all goes according to plan this could lead to a major shake-up for brokers. Alex Broad met Andy Homer to find out more.

Andy Homer looks relaxed and satisfied. It is not surprising. Just
six weeks into his new role as chief executive of the Folgate Partnership
two major deals have been signed and sealed, with more imminent.


Folgate Insurance is now wholly owned by the Folgate Partnership,
following the final seal of approval by the Financial Services Authority.
This takes the workforce from just eight to 168 and, says Mr Homer,
securing that approval means lots of other plans will now fall into place.
