Club Direct has updated its Discovery Gold policy for backpackers.The policy now includes three additional features: full medical cover for
skiing and snowboarding; £200 cover for beach baggage and sunglasses; and
£200 cover for compact discs, mini discs and cassettes. Brent Escott,
managing director of Club Direct, said: "We estimate that more than
200,000 British travellers under the age of 26 will take a gap year in
2002. Around 20% of students go travelling in between school and
university."
