Struggling insurance group CNA's European operations received afurther £43.2m support from its US parent company this week, with the
future of London market reinsurer CNA Re still shrouded in
uncertainty.
CNA Financial's European subsidiaries, CNA Insurance - formerly CNA
Maritime - and CNA Insurance Company (Europe) received the capital
injection of £43.2m, bringing the consolidated shareholders' funds of the
two companies to approximately £105m.
