Lloyd's is to axe 1100 jobs over the next three years as part ofchief executive Nick Prettejohn's move to modernise the insurance
market.
The jobs will go from the Corporation of Lloyd's, the organisation that
oversees the running of the market, and will hit both the Lloyd's office
on Lime Street, London and its administrative office in Chatham, Kent.
Claims processing, accountancy, regulation and IT are the areas most
likely to be affected. Lloyd's spokesman Adrian Beeby said the jobs would
