Lloyd's is well known for its motor policies, but less so for the angle it takes on household. Andrew Newman takes a look at two new initiatives.

The versatility of Lloyd's is well displayed in household. At one
extreme is the stately home image connected with high net worth products,
while at the other, there are those risks associated with the wide-ranging
non-standard end of the market. There are new developments to report in
both categories.


Steve Windich, the former Wellington underwriter, is in the process of
setting up a new syndicate with several unique features. The new facility
extends Lloyd's broker Edgar Hamilton & Wellard's
