Almost one in five of the top-100 UK law firms by revenue have sacked their insurance broker over the past year, according to a survey carried out by Legal Risk. The survey found that 19% of the firms changed their broker in the year ended 1 October 2004, compared with 9% a year earlier.
Of the firms polled, 14% changed their insurer. "Big commercial organisations do not change their professional advisers all that often, so to have one-fifth of the top firms changing broker all at once is a lot,"
