A broker, who shall remain nameless, displayed a unique staff motivation technique recently - with one member of staff anyway. The employee in question, who was involved in the firms' delegated authority underwriting, had been pestering the principal for a more appropriate job title that reflected how his role had evolved. After being badgered to the point of irritation, the broker gave in and the employee was eventually awarded the important-sounding title of 'business underwriting manager'
