Ardonagh buys Alice Castle

Deal

Ardonagh Advisory has agreed to buy professional indemnity and cyber insurance specialists Alice Castle, Insurance Age can reveal.

Alice Castle’s specialisms also include management liability, office, and business insurance.

The broker lists accountants, architects, bookkeepers, engineers, estate agents, IT companies, letting agents, solicitors, surveyors and town planners among its target market.

The terms of the takeover have not been disclosed and the purchase is due to complete next month.

Ardonagh bought Hera Indemnity, which specialises in PI for solicitors, in February last year in a £22.3m deal.

Brown & Brown has entered into an agreement to acquire RSC Topco, Inc, the holding company for Accession, the ninth largest privately held insurance brokerage in the United States, for $9.83bn (£7.3bn).
